The design of a hospital ward must be both practical for the nursing staff and the patient. A typical ward consists of a patient cabinet for storing patient's clothes, a bedside table, and a pass-through cabinet with modular sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

The patient cabinet consists of a top shelf, a hanger, and hooks for clothes. The handle on the front can either be our ergonomically correct Zignatur handle or a regular bridge handle.<\/p>\n

A pass-through cabinet is often used to store materials for the patient. This allows the staff to decant from the corridor without disturbing the patient in the ward. The modular sides allow use of our trays\/baskets system, this provides a good overview of stored content.<\/p>\n

Our bedside tables have been developed in collaboration with an architect, users, and hygiene staff from Skejby Hospital. Our bedside table is unique as it allows the patient to be mostly self-reliant, e.g., raising and lowering the height, which is of course electrically height adjustable. The control button is located in the middle of the worktop, which in most cases, allows the patient to operate the table themselves. The cabinet is also raised or lowered to reach-height for the patient enabling easy access when opening and closing the cabinet.<\/p>\n

The bedside table can be equipped with a medicine drawer for patient's own medicine, this can be accessed either by the patient or staff. It is also possible to securely store contents in the bedside table as it can be equipped with one of the various lock models, the well-known key lock, an electronic lock, an electronic touch lock or code lock. It is also an option to have a USB 5V output installed in the table for charging mobile devices. The bedside table is cordless, as the table is powered by an internal battery which only needs to be connected to a power supply when charging. With a slide rail mounted on the bedside table, a large selection of additional accessories can be used, e.g., a wire basket can be attached intended for patient waste.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it is necessary for hospital patients\u2019 relatives to stay with them over night. In single rooms it is possible to install a visitor\u2019s bed as an integral part of the cabinet\/drawer unit. This can be folded out at night time and hidden away in the morning.<\/p>\n
