PASS THROUGH CABINET
Pass-through cabinets are used for transfer between two rooms. The cabinets are constructed as two-way opening and can be prepared for shelves, modular sides or for housing trolleys. The pass-through cabinets can also be used for sample delivery between two rooms typically in different cleanliness categories.
As pass-through cabinets are located between two rooms there is often a requirement for fire isolation, which can be solved by using Zystm’s fire-rated cabinets. These cabinets are constructed from materials to achieve either BD30 or BD60 fire resistance. See more about fire–lead cabinets here.
Pass-through cabinets must be secure preventing both fronts/doors been opened at the same time. The interlock mechanism prevents this from happening. Zystm interlocks are delivered with different configurations to suit requirement. (see more about interlock)
The fronts on the pass-through cabinets are optionally delivered in laminate, glazed display doors or with fire-rated doors.
The pass-through cabinet can also be supplied with radiation protection. This type of cabinet is typically delivered for protecting from scanners, X-rays or OPs but can also be used in research laboratories when working with isotopes. The radiation protection is manufactured from 2 mm lead sheet lining built into the pass through-cabinet.
