Nordre School Viborg
We had the pleasure of renovating the physics room at Nordre School in Viborg. One requirement was larger flexibility of the teaching workstations.
We have furnished the physics room with 3 large student group islands and a teachers workstation. The sides of the student group islands have been arranged with cabinets and movable shelves. They are without doors giving the students easy access to their equipment. The installation box located in the centre of the worktop in each group island contains sockets as well as quick connect gas outlets for 4 working stations per bench. The student group islands also have a sink located at each end with the central island bench having an easily accessible emergencey eye shower.
The requirementfor flexibility was met with a mobile teaching station. This provides the teacher with opportunity of demonstrationg simple experiments to individual student groups. The mobile table has cabinet modules for storage one side and open knee space for students on the other.
For additional workspaces a table frame with worktop has been installed between the window columns and all tall cabinets have display doors at top with solid doors below for storage of equipment. These are with movable shelves. The existing ventilation was kept and adjusted for the new work stations.
