Fume cupboard Zafe 81 AC
Zafe 81 AC is an acid fume cupboard designed for working with strong acids where high temperatures are not involved. The cupboard features a chemically resistant internal chamber made of polypropylene and has been developed to withstand the aggressive conditions that may occur when working with strong acids.
The exhaust connection is made of polypropylene, while the metal components are coated with technical-grade Teflon, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and are therefore black in appearance.
The worktop can be made of polypropylene, epoxy, or ceramic. When working with strong acids, polypropylene, epoxy, or ceramic is recommended, with ceramic being the most suitable option.
The front sash is made of toughened safety glass and is suspended from the top by wire. The fume cupboard is not equipped with temperature monitoring.
It is recommended that the fume cupboard be supplied at a fixed height, as an adjustable-height solution places greater demands on the flexibility of the ductwork, which must be highly resistant to chemicals.
The fume cupboard can be supplied with Teflon-coated fittings as required.
The fume cupboard can be certified in accordance with EN 14175-7, which covers the testing and certification of acid fume cupboards. In Denmark, a tracer gas test in accordance with DS 457 is also required before the fume cupboard is put into operation.
It is recommended that the fume cupboard be inspected and serviced at intervals of 6–12 months, depending on usage.
