PHLEBOTOMY CARTS DEVELOPED FROM 4 BASIC PRINCIPLES
The phlebotomy and ECG carts from Zystm have been developed in cooperation with professionals from hospitals in Denmark. This has helped our carts to be designed specifically for the people who use them daily, developed according to their demands and requirements.
Our phlebotomy and ECG carts are today used by Bispebjerg Hospital, Region Hovedstaden, Frederiksberg Hospital, Roskilde Amtssygehus, Odense Universitetshospital, Aalborg Sygehus and many more.
DURABILITY
Our carts are built to endure all the demands and situations that arise in hospitals. The first carts we supplied are still in use after more than 20 years. Our customers come back year after year - not to replace old carts, but as they expand with the need for additional carts.
HYGIENEN
We have utilised our entire hygiene experience from our hospital laboratory systems for our carts. By doing so we have developed some of the most hygienic easy to clean and bacteria free carts on the market.
ERGONOMICS
We are aware that the individual carts are used by many different people with staff often walking several kilometres with the phlebotomy carts daily. For this reason we have invested considerably in easy to handle carts, as well as making it possible to adapt the carts to suit each individual’s requirements. Trays, handles, height, etc.. can be adjusted to ensure the correct ergonomic working position.
SPECIAL SOLUTIONS
Zystm is a specialist in developing tailor-made solutions to meet individual specific requirements. Zystm can develop solutions from scratch just as all Zystm’s products can be customized and modified - this is precisely the concept of our overall product range.
OVERVIEW
This overview details the accessories that form part of a standard phlebotomy cart.
PHLEBOTOMY CART
HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE drive handles and work trays ensure workers can have an optimal daily working position.
THE WORK TRAY layout from Vacutainer Systems. Other systems can also be used for individual devices. The work tray is height-adjustable with one-hand attachment grip.
THE STORAGE TRAY is without fitted fixtures and can therefore be easily adapted for individual requirements.
DETACHABLE TRAYS without the use of tools means that the trays can be removed and cleaned in a dishwasher.
NEEDLE SAFETY is crucial, needles and rods for blood sampling jars are located at a suitable distance away from the cannula boxes containing the used needles. Possible lockable boxes are available.
THE WRITING BOARD is located on the handle and can therefore be height-adjusted to the appropriate writing height.
THE FORMULA HOLDER is located on the left side of the work tray. Designed for A4 and A5 sizes.
FOLDING CHAIR is available, stored in a holder located on the right side of the cart.
WASTE BAG rack designed to be hung from the work tray.
LAMP for when there is no room light available and urgent blood tests are to be taken.
WHEELS are constructed so the cart runs easily and effortlessly even over obstacles. Carts can even be used outdoors during winter months. Wheels do not need to be maintained and the design ensures high hygiene standards are always met.
CHAIR HOLDER NEW - REMOVABLE MODEL. It is now possible to retrofit our new chair holders as to cart frames as required.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE PHLEBOTOMY CART
The phlebotomy cart not only is a means of transport, but as a complete phlebotomy concept. Height-adjustable work trays and handles ensure all workers have the optimal working position for daily use.
After unpacking, release the upper handle using the clamping lever. NOTE that the clamping lever is free when the swivel arm is pulled out.
The handle can be removed and turned over. The form holder and the waste bag holder are hung from the work tray. Handles and trays are positioned at the required height using the clamping lever.
Glass holder, ultra-boxes and submodel inserts are placed in the work tray compartments - »Herlev interior«. The cart is now ready for daily consumables.
COMBI CART FOR ECG AND PHLEBOTOMY
The combi cart from Zystm makes it possible to both measure ECG and to draw blood during the same workflow.
In co-operation with professionals the cart has been developed according to 4 basic principles:

The frame of the ECG cart is constructed from 30×20 RHS steel profile complete with an extra cross brace for additional reinforcement. As standard, the frame is powder-coated white RAL 9016. The cart can accommodate loads of up to approx 100 kg.
The cart is equipped with a height-adjustable handle, writing plate and clamp. The work tray can be supplied with detachable partitions, these can be cleaned in a dishwasher. A universal shelf for a modem is also part of the cart.
ECG tray is manufactured from plastic complete with upturned edges prepared for an ECG machine or PC. The H-fitting under the tray is supplied with a bridge handle making it easy to move the cart from either side.
The cart can also be supplied with a tray including a drawer offering sufficient space for an ECG or phlebotomy accessories. The drawer has an 80% pull-out.
The design of the cart and the wheels makes it easy to manoeuvre. It is not heavy to move even when it is filled with equipment and accessories.
As with the phlebotomy cart, the wheels make the cart run easily and effortless to manoeuvre over obstacles. No maintenance is required and the design ensures that the high hygiene requirements are achieved.
