STORAGE / LINEN ROOM
A hospital requires storage space in all its departments on all floors, whether it is remedies, medicine, or linen. It must be accessible for staff and at the same time easy to keep clean.
The design of storage rooms will often be tall cabinets either in heights of 2100mm incl. plinth or height 1800mm wall mounted as suspension 300 mm from the floor. The plinth is jointed against the floor, where the suspended cabinet allows access under for cleaning. Tall cabinets can be furnished with shelves or with modular sides utilizing our tray/basket system. Tall cabinets will often be finished with a straight or sloping cover preventing dust build up to the top of the cabinets, also preventing the space been used for unsightly additional storage.
For extra heavy loads, such as storing linen, we offer extra reinforced shelves and supports.
The drawers in a drawer cabinet can be divided as needed, drawer divisions allow for an improved overview and organization.
SPECIAL SOLUTION
We offer a wide range of specially designed cabinets that are dedicated for specific purpose. For example, catheter storage can be supplied in two storage options both as suspension in a cabinet or divisions in drawers.
CHIP SYSTEM
If you choose our solution with trays and baskets this allows you to use our chip system. The chip system is for stock rotation management using the well-known Kan Ban solution. When used correctly (first in/first out) you can control the inventory of stock so that the turnover rate is controlled by the use = financial savings. The system works by having a tray with 2 compartments, both are provided with a tag and a description of contents (both compartments are stored with the same product). You only take the product out of one of the compartments and when it is empty, the chip is taken out and placed on a chip rail. This is read with a scanner by the pharmacy. The product is then moved from compartment 2 to compartment 1, and when the pharmacy comes by, it refills compartment 2. This also ensures that products do not expire.
